Scottish Gaelic Reading classes

Small, informal reading and conversation classes that meet online every Wednesday evening via Zoom.  We read a pre-circulated text and practise conversation.  Suitable for advanced beginners to intermediate learners.  New starters are always welcome.

Thursdays 2021
Old Irish Language classes classes resume 20 January
Online

Small, informal reading and grammar classes that meet online every Thursday via Zoom.  Suitable for advanced beginners.  Please contact us if you are interested in joining these classes.
(Note:  Old Irish is the ancestor language of Irish, Scottish Gaelic and Manx, which was spoken and written in the early medieval period.)

Friday 27 – Monday 30 May 2022 
Scottish Gaelic Retreat
Glen Innes

Spend a weekend immersed in the Scottish Gaelic language at beautiful Glen Innes in the Northern NSW Country.  We have booked rooms at the Central Motel and everyone will have their own room with bathroom. Please contact us if you’d like a shared room so we can arrange that for you.  Formal Scottish Gaelic language classes will be interspersed with coffee at the Croft, exploring the Australian Standing Stones National Celtic Monument and Martin’s Lookout and a visit to the local gin distillery.  All activities are optional, providing time to relax.  All meals, materials, accommodation, etc. are included in the price.  No prior knowledge of Scottish Gaelic is required.

Program and Registration

On very rare occasions, we may have to cancel an event due to circumstances beyond our control.  On such occasions, we will notify all registered participants and arrange a full refund.  If you are unable to attend an event for which you have registered, we will arrange a full refund if you cancel with at least 48 hours’ notice.  If you cancel with less than 48 hours’ notice, we will endeavour to arrange a reduced registration fee for a substitute event.
